Treatment Options for Wrist Pain

Treatments that are commonly used for wrist pain include:

  • Heat or cold therapy: Applying heat packs or ice packs. 
  • Medication: painkillers such as ibuprofen or aspirin, antidepressant, etc. may help.
  • Splints or elastic supports can also relieve pain.
  • Physical therapy: exercises suggested by your physiotherapist can also help to relieve pain
  • Steroid injections are recommended by your doctor.
  • Surgery: if the pain persists for a few weeks, then surgery is recommended by health care providers
